ISG is an international construction company that has helped shape some of the world’s most iconic landmarks. A few years ago, they faced a major challenge: furnishing the homes of expats joining ISG. To make this process smoother, they turned to KeyPro.
Global Mobility Coordinator Paul Grommel was responsible for preparing multiple homes for incoming expats at ISG. His predecessor had managed this task independently—visiting a well-known Swedish furniture chain to purchase packages, arranging delivery, assembly, and later removal of the furniture.
The staff delivering the furniture were focused solely on assembly. As a result, the homes were never delivered as fully furnished, ready-to-live-in spaces.
On top of that, costs were difficult to predict. “You see prices listed on the website, but then additional delivery and installation charges are added. And at the end of the contract, you’re also billed for removing the furniture. That’s when we realized we needed a solution-oriented partner who could take care of everything from start to finish,” Paul explains.

We identified everything required to perfectly furnish the expat homes.

We carefully selected the furniture and accessories best suited for expat homes.
More than just furniture, we delivered quickly and backed it up with our always-working furniture guarantee.

As soon as the rental period finished, we took care of the disassembly and removal of the furniture.
For the very first project, Paul furnished the homes himself. “Just being on-site already took a full day. That’s not even counting the time spent ordering furniture packages online and later arranging their removal. In total, I spent three—sometimes even four and a half—working days per home. I thought: this must be possible in a smarter way.”

The collaboration between ISG and KeyPro fully optimized the process of housing expats, even when unexpected challenges arose.

The opportunity Paul saw in working with KeyPro was the ability to provide expats with the same structured service—without spending so much of his own time. “It saved me an enormous amount of time while still delivering the same furniture packages and handover quality. For me, that meant continuity,” Paul explains.
“By working with KeyPro, I save about three to four and a half days per furnished home. That’s also one of the reasons why, when I moved on to my next role within the construction industry, I took KeyPro with me,” adds Paul Grommel.

“KeyPro saves me up to four and a half days per home, that’s why I continue to work with them, no matter where my career takes me in the construction industry.”
For this project, it was essential to work with a team of experts who could respond quickly and effectively to the needs of future residents. Speed and flexibility were crucial, which is why the following KeyPlayers were involved:
